LYNCHBURG, Va.- Coming off a 14-win season last fall and its first ODAC Championship game appearance in six years, the Randolph men's soccer team hopes to make another run this coming season with a 15-game 2022 regular season slate. The team will play eight games at home and seven games on the road.
The new season begins on September 1 at home against William Peace. Road contests at Greensboro (9/3) and Southern Virginia (9/7) follow. North Carolina Wesleyan is next on the docket on September 10 in the first of three straight home games. The Battling Bishops are led by former Randolph assistant coach Mark Bowman in his return to WildCat Stadium.
The September 17 contest against Shenandoah is a non-conference game. The official ODAC opener is against Roanoke on September 21. The two teams last played in the 2021 ODAC quarterfinals at WildCat Stadium which Randolph won 1-0. The month of September concludes with Guilford (9/24) and Ferrum (9/28).
October starts with back-to-back road games at Randolph-Macon (10/1) and Bridgewater (10/5). The WildCats return home to host Hampden-Sydney on October 8. October 12 sees the WildCats make the short trip across town to the campus of Lynchburg in a rematch of last year's ODAC Championship game which the Hornets won 1-0. The following Wednesday, Randolph travels to the campus of Washington and Lee in the first meeting between the two schools since the 'Cats knocked off the Generals in the ODAC semifinals a year ago. The regular season wraps up with home contests against Eastern Mennonite (10/22) and new conference member Averett (10/26).
