HARRISONBURG, Va.- It was a damp and bleary Sunday evening as the Randolph men's soccer team faced off against Eastern Mennonite. A late first half goal was all the WildCats needed as they defeated the Royals 1-0.
The win gives Randolph a record of 2-0. The Royals drop to 0-2.
While just one goal was scored on the night, the WildCats dominated on the stat sheet as they outshot EMU 29-5. The 'Cats put 12 shots on frame while the Royals had two.
The WildCat goal came with 33 seconds left in the first half. Evan Blow (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) was able to get at a shot off that he got past Royal goalkeeper Ahmed Zaatar and in for the score. Blow had eight shots on goal on the night but solid play from Zaatar kept him from adding to his total.

Zach Miles (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville) had two saves for the Wildcats in goal. Zaatar finished with 10 stops.
