Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WildCats Fall at Bridgewater 3-1

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team faced one of the top teams in the ODAC in Bridgewater on Saturday. The WildCats were behind 3-0 and had to claw their way back as they fell to the Eagles 3-1.

BC got on the board quickly in the first half. Skyler Daum scored in the 4th minute to give Bridgewater the early 1-0 lead. It was 2-0 Eagles in the 26th minute on an Alicia Keo solo score.

While the WildCats did not record a shot on frame in the first half, the defense along with strong play from Alexis Bossi (Falls Church, Va./Justice) in the net prevented the Eagles from increasing their lead. Bossi came away with four saves in the last 35 minutes of the half to hold the score at 2-0 at the break.

Bridgewater made it 3-0 at 65:26. Randolph got on the scoreboard with its first shot on frame of the day as Marisa Santacroce (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) scored a solo goal. The WildCats had two more shots on goal that were turned away.

The Eagles led in total shots 34-9 and 12-3 in shots on goal. Corner kicks favored BC 13-0.

Bossi finished with eight saves before departing late in the second half. Her replacement Maddie Friel (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) tallied one save in 8:38 of game time.

Randolph returns home to host Sweet Briar on Wednesday at WildCat Stadium. Game time will be at 4:30 p.m.
