WINCHESTER, Va.- The Randolph volleyball team traveled to Shenandoah on Saturday for an ODAC tri-match. The WildCats dropped a 3-1 decision to the Hornets in the first match and rebounded to shutout Hollins 3-0 in the second.
The split gives Randolph an overall record of 8-7. The WildCats are 3-3 in the conference.

The WildCats took the first set 25-20 but the Hornets came back to win the next three frames 25-18, 25-15, 25-15. Mackenzie Ambrose (Floyd, Va./Floyd County) had another double-double effort with 12 kills and 13 digs. She also tallied two service aces. Audrey Antesberger (Scottsville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) picked up four blocks. Taylor Webb (Nassawadox, Va./Northampton) had 24 assists.

The WildCats took the first set 25-21 and the following sets 25-18 and 25-16. Ambrose nearly mirrored her effort from earlier with 13 kills and 12 digs. She added four service aces. Antesberger blocked four shots with Tomi-Lauren McGinnis (Ringgold, Va./Dan River) blocking three to go with eight kills. Webb had 33 assists. Sam Verhaagen (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Christian) tallied 13 digs.
The WildCats return home to host cross-city rival Lynchburg on Wednesday night. Start time for the match is 6:30 p.m.
