WildCats Hold Off Knights 1-0

BUENA VISTA, Va.- All it took was one goal that proved to be enough for the Randolph men's soccer team as it defeated Southern Virginia on the road Saturday night 1-0. The 'Cats ran its winning streak to four to improve their record to 4-3-1.

The WildCats were granted a corner kick in the 29th minute. Evan Blow's (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) attempt was able to find Daniel Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) who knocked in the pass into the back of the net for the score.

Randolph held a 16-6 lead in shots and 7-1 on goal. The WildCats led in corner kicks 4-2.

Erick Cortez-Martinez (Winston-Salem, N.C./North Forsyth) picked up his first solo shutout of the season as he saved the only shot he faced.
