LYNCHBURG, Va.- Led by Gabe Krueger's (Jacksonville, N.C./White Oak) three goals on the night, the Randolph men's soccer team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Mid-Atlantic Christian on Wednesday evening at WildCat Stadium. The win evens the WildCats' record at 3-3-1 overall on the season.
Four other WildCats factored into the scoring. Kyle Wade (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown), Niles Brown (Atlanta, Ga./Coral Academy), Evan Blow (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville), and Noah Carney (Charleston W.V./Homeschool) all tallied once. Ashton Poythress (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) scored twice. Carney also chipped in three assists.
Goalkeeping duties were split among Erick Cortez-Martinez (Winston-Salen. N.C./North Forsyth), Zach Aylor (Vinton, Va./William Byrd), and Cody Toews (Bumpass, Va./Louisa County). Toews had the only save in the game for Randolph.
The WildCats travel to Southern Virginia on Saturday. Game time from Buena Vista will be at 5:30 p.m.
