Pausic Scores Twice as WildCats Fall to Roanoke

LYNCHBURG, Va.Brett Pausic (Saluda, Va./Christchurch) tallied two goals and one assist in the Randolph College men's lacrosse team's 27-3 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) loss to Roanoke College on Wednesday evening. 

The Maroons shut out the WildCats in three of the four quarters. Randolph finally got on the scoreboard in the second period as Pausic dished out back-to-back unassisted goals to trail 12-2 with 9:12 remaining before half-time. Prince Charles (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) scored the third and final goal for the WildCats, off a feed from Pausic, with 2:35 on the clock. 

Pausic fired off seven shots to lead the WildCats, with four on target, while Charles finished the night with five ground balls and won 5-of-10 face-offs. 

Corey Boswell (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) earned the loss in goal, facing 20 shots and making nine saves. William Doyle (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate) made a career-high 10 stops in goal for the WildCats, facing 24 shots. Connor Dobbins (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County) also racked up time in the crease, facing four shots and making two saves.

Randolph drops to 3-8, 0-4 ODAC and returns to action on Saturday, April 6 when the WildCats travel to Shenandoah University for a 4 p.m. conference contest.
