Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – On Saturday, the Randolph women's lacrosse team traveled to Greensboro to play Guilford. The WildCats rallied in the second half but fell just short in the end as the Quakers won by the score of 17-6.
Randolph outscored Guilford 5-3 in the second frame. The 'Cats scored four straight in a span of 12:45 in the second period.
Dana Cavallo (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) and Nicole Dorton (Alexandria, Va./J.E.B. Stuart) both scored a pair of goals each. Libby Exline (Sykesville, Md./La Plata) scored once as did Maddie Peters (Salisbury, Md./James M Bennett). For Peters, it was her second career goal. She also picked up a team-high five groundballs. Sarah Perry (Rocky Mount, Va./Franklin County) dished out three assists, which was a career-high. She won six draw controls.
Chrissy Shackleford (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) had 16 saves in goal for the WildCats.
Randolph has a quick turnaround as it travels to Southern Virginia for a non-conference match on Monday evening. Game time will be at 6:00 p.m.
