Men's Lacrosse Falls to Lynchburg in ODAC Action

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College men's lacrosse team fell to host and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival the University of Lynchburg, 25-1, on Saturday night at Shellenberger Field.

The Hornets shut out the WildCats in three out of four quarters. Junior Nick Junkin-Mills (Brookfield, Md./Sandy Springs Friends School) landed Randolph on the scoreboard at the 13:35 mark in the fourth quarter off a feed from Brett Pausic (Saluda, Va./Christchurch)

Prince Charles (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) led the team with five shots, picked up five ground balls and won 6-of-14 face-offs while Pausic, Jordan Stanley (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) and Gate Tutko (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) each fired off two shots. Tate Smith (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) and William Doyle (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate) each picked up three ground balls in the loss, with Smith adding one caused turnover.

Corey Boswell (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) took the loss in goal, facing 23 shots and making six saves. The junior goalkeeper shared time in the crease with Doyle who played 30 minutes, faced 14 shots and made six stops.

The WildCats fall to 3-5, 0-2 ODAC and are back home Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. when they host Greensboro College in their Vs. Cancer Game.
