Box Score Each week, Randolph Athletics showcases a question and answer with the WildCat of the Week. This week it is a sophomore from the women's lacrosse team Sarah Perry.
Perry had a big week for the WildCats as she helped the team to two victories. She scored four times and assisted on a fifth in Randolph's 14-2 win over Sweet Briar. Against Salem last Saturday, Perry tallied five scores and dished out two assists as the 'Cats topped Salem 15-5. In two games, she won nine draw controls and picked up three groundballs.
How has the transition been for you from swimming to lacrosse this year?
The transition between sports has been okay. I can definitely say that the transition between a sport in the water and on the field is very different and requires different levels of "being in shape" but I have enjoyed starting the season out strong with my team.
While the season is still young, how does this team compare to last year's?
Our team this year is definitely very disciplined and are more excited to play than ever. We have worked so hard on new and old skills to become a unit and have been succeeding on the field every day at practice.
What is your favorite class at Randolph?
My favorite class so far at Randolph is definitely my Intro to Genetics class with Dr. Houlihan. It's a great way to start my mornings!
