Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WildCats Fall at W&L 2-0

LEXINGTON, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team traveled to Lexington on Saturday to face Washington and Lee which was recently ranked #18 in the latest D3soccer.com poll. The WildCats played admirably but the Generals scored twice in the second half to win 2-0.

The game was scoreless at halftime. Randolph kept W&L off the scoreboard by pushing back each scoring opportunity that the Generals had. Deaven Milam (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), who got the start in goal for WildCats, came up with three saves while Randolph defenders came up with three other saves.

Milam had three more saves in the second half. The WildCats defense also blocked five Washington and Lee shot chances.

The Generals broke through in the second half at 65:40 on a goal by Erin Hoeh. Emily Leding scored in the 81st minute to make it 2-0.

Milam finished the day with seven saves. Randolph in total had 10 saves on the afternoon.

Shots favored W&L 43-4. Shot on goal were 12-2.

Randolph travels to Sweet Briar on Wednesday to face the Vixens. Game time will be at 4:00 p.m.
