Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Eagles Shutout WildCats 2-0

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team traveled north to Bridgewater to face the Eagles in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles' defense limited the WildCats to just four total shots on the afternoon as BC won by the score of 2-0.

Randolph falls to 5-6-2 overall and 1-5 in the ODAC. The Eagles improve to 8-5-2 and 4-2 in the conference.

Bridgewater attacked in the offensive zone frequent and often in the first half. WildCat goalkeeper Zoe Waring (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) did her best to keep BC from scoring but let one up in the 28th minute as Catherine Haufe scored.

The WildCats did not have a shot on frame until the 68th minute. Haufe scored again for the Eagles at 73:17 to put them ahead for good 2-0.

Waring finished with 12 saves in the afternoon. It is her fourth double-digit save performance of the season.

Bridgewater had a commanding 26-4 advantage in shots with 14-1 on goal. Corner kicks actually were in Randolph's favor 4-2.

The WildCats return home to host Ferrum on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. It is the second game of a doubleheader following the men's game against Eastern Mennonite at 4:30 p.m.
