Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Prince Charles (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) scored twice in the Randolph College men's lacrosse team's 25-4 loss to host and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Randolph-Macon College on Saturday afternoon.
The YellowJackets stormed out to a 7-0 lead by the end of the opening quarter but the WildCats would finally land on the scoreboard in the first few minutes of the second quarter as Charles found the back of the net to make it a 7-1 game.
Despite Randolph-Macon bring their lead up to 8-1 shortly after, Brett Pausic (Saluda, Va./Christchurch) would find the stick of Gage Tutko at the 5:13 mark to close the gap to 8-2. Charles would add his second goal of the game with 2:37 remaining on the clock but the YellowJackets would claim a 12-3 score at halftime.
Randolph's final goal would come in the third quarter as Pausic found the back of the net off a feed from Charles for a 19-4 margin. The YellowJackets concluded the game with a 6-0 run to clinch the final 25-4 tally.
In addition to his two goals and one assist, Charles fired off four shots, with four on goal, picked up a team-high seven ground balls and won 9-of-19 face-offs. Pausic also recorded four shots for the Randolph offense, with three on target, while Tutko finished with two shots and two ground balls.
Matt Lindenbaum (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) took the loss between the pipes, facing 28 shots and making 12 stops in over 36 minutes of playing time. James Stumpo (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) also picked up time in the crease, making seven saves and facing 16 shot.
The WildCats drop to 0-15, 0-6 ODAC and will close out their regular season at home on Monday, April 23 when they hosts Averett University at 7 p.m.
