Randolph Women Tie Roanoke

Box Score

LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph goalkeeper Quinn-Lynn Bates (Culpepper, Va./Culpepper County) stopped 17 shots to hold visiting Roanoke off the board as the women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night at WildCat Stadium. It is the first time both teams have played to a scoreless tie in 30 years.

It is Bates' first shutout of the season and the seventh of her career. She leads the team with 64 saves.

Randolph was outshot 28-1 in the game and did not record a corner kick. Despite that, the WildCats kept the Maroons off track all night. It marked the third straight contest that Roanoke has gone into extra periods and its sixth in total this year.

Randolph's overall record stands at 3-9-2 and 1-6-1 in the ODAC. Roanoke's record is 8-5-2 and 5-2-1 in the conference.
