LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph WildCats women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season Wednesday with a matchup against the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets. Both teams looked to improve their conference standing on the final night of the regular season, but two first-half goals proved to be the difference as the Yellow Jackets secured a 2-0 victory.
The visitors came out strong offensively, finding the back of the net within the first 15 minutes before adding a second goal less than five minutes later. Randolph tightened up defensively to close out the half, but the WildCats managed just three shots in the opening half. After the break, Randolph found a few more opportunities, including two shots on goal, but couldn't break through the stout Yellow Jacket defense.
The WildCats finished the night with eight shots, three of which were on goal. Madison Booker led Randolph with three shots, while Kacie Walker recorded six saves.
Randolph closes the regular season with an 8-5-3 overall record and a 4-5-1 mark in ODAC play. Despite the loss, the WildCats secured the No. 8 seed in the 2026 ODAC Tournament and will travel to face top-seeded Washington and Lee on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kick off is set for 1 p.m. This is the first tournament appearance for Randolph since 2018, when the WildCats fell to Ferrum in the first round.
