WildCats Fall in Women's Lacrosse Action to Shenandoah Tuesday

Box Score

WINCHESTER, Va. -- Randolph got off to a strong start, but fell in women's lacrosse action Tuesday.

The Hornets conceded the opening goal, but won 16-2.

After winning the opening draw, Randolph scored first after junior Ashton Ewers controlled a loose ball, helping Randolph clear its zone.

On the offensive end, senior Taylor Klevenz fed sophomore Taylor Riccardi to open the game's scoring.

Later in the frame, Klevenz scored herself after picking up a ground ball in her defensive third for the other WildCat goal.

She has now scored in all but one game this year.

Klevenz had four draw controls and the same number of ground balls on the day.

Senior Samantha Fagone, who is second in the nation in saves per game, made 13 stops.

Fagone has double-digit saves in six straight games.

Randolph is back in action Friday, hosting Roanoke at 5 p.m.
