Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Taylor Klevenz (Cherry Hill,
N.J./Cherry Hill) scored five of Randolph's six goals
today, and assisted on the other, but the WildCats fell, 20-6, to
Lynchburg this evening.
After conceding a goal within the first 40 seconds, it was
Klevenz who leveled the score for the WildCats just over a minute
later.
The host Hornets scored the next 10 however, but Randolph ended
the half with two of the last three, as Klevenz assisted
sophomore Taylor
Riccardi (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge Co.)
before scoring again herself to wrap up the first half.
After Lynchburg went on another run, Klevenz scored back-to-back
tallies.
The junior wrapped up the game's scoring with her fifth goal
with five seconds remaining in the contest.
Klevenz is the all-time leader in career points in program
history. She is now four goals away from the season record for
goals in a season and three points away from the best season
mark.
She is just the second player in program history to score 40
goals in a season, joining Danielle Haney.
On Wednesday, Klevenz will have her first shot at breaking those
marks as the WildCats, fresh off of breaking the program record for
wins in a season, host Ferrum.
