Box Score LEXINGTON, VA – The Generals of Washington & Lee University scored just 12 seconds into the game and never looked back taking an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest with an 8-0 win over the Randolph College women's soccer team Wednesday from Watt Field.
Katherine Rush scored her first of three goals on the afternoon on the game's first shot just seconds into the contest. 15 minutes later, Holley Beasley scored her fourth of the season with help from Page Minton to make the score 2-0. Rush added her second at the 18:36 mark, and Beasley again tallied 13 minutes later to take the game to halftime with W&L leading 4-0.
Alex Todd netted her first of the season at 48:32 on an Ainsley Daigle assist, followed a minute later by Rush's third of the game to make the count 6-0. The Generals scored two more over the last 20 minutes of the game to make the final 8-0.
First-year goalkeeper Hunter Gibson (Newport News, VA/Denbigh) had 12 saves on the afternoon, and Ashley Oswald (Mechanicsville, VA/Lee-Davis) fired the lone shot for the WildCats (3-3/0-2 ODAC). The Generals (4-1-1/1-0-1 ODAC) had 39 shots on the evening, and had all 14 corner kicks on the contest.
Randolph returns to action on Saturday with another ODAC contest, this time traveling to Ashland, VA for a meeting with Randolph-Macon College at 2 p.m.
