2025 Award Winners

Randolph Athletics Holds Annual Awards Ceremony

The Randolph Athletics Department held its annual awards ceremony on Tuesday evening in Smith Theater to recognize and honor its student-athletes.

The Female Athlete of the Year was Kylie Stark from the women's basketball team. The 2022 and 2023 Female Athlete of the Year and 2021 Female Rookie of the Year, Stark was a ODAC First Team selection and the Women's Basketball ODAC Scholar-Athlete. She averaged 15.7 points a game to rank third in the conference and her 73 assists were a career-high. She played and started in the most games in WildCat history and finished her career with 1,532 points to rank second on the career list.

Jordan Phillips-McLoyd was named the Male Athlete of the Year. The 2021 Male Rookie of the Year, Phillps-McLoyd was an ODAC Third Team selection this past season as he averaged 19.9 points a game and led the conference in average and total points. His scoring average was the second-highest in WildCat history. Phillips-McLoyd reached double figures in all but two games and had five 30+ scoring performances. He set the game record for points twice. Phillips-McLoyd had career highs in rebounds (96), assists (87), and steals (28), finishing seventh in the ODAC in assists. He totaled 1,200 points in his Randolph career to rank third all-time.

Kylie Brigman from the women's wrestling team was named the Female Rookie of the Year. Brigman finished her season with a 28-4 record garnering over 100 points for the WildCats and over 19 falls. At one point late in the season, she was ranked as high as fourth in the South Region prior to Regionals.

The Male Rookie of the Year was Kendrick Love from the Men's Track and Field Team.  In the Indoor Season, Love was part of the 4x400 relay team that set new a Randolph and meet record time of 3:21.79. He was named All-Conference and All-Region in the 4x400 relay and helped establish records in the 4x400 and 4x200 relays. To date this Outdoor season, Kendric set a new personal best time of 48.97 in the 400 meters at the recent ODAC Championships. He was a part of 4x400 relay that set a new meet record at the ODAC Championships with a first place time of 3:16.66.

The Scholar-Athlete of the Year was given to Paige Scruggs from the softball team. Scruggs, an Sport and Exercise Studies major, has the highest GPA of all graduating senior athletes.

Carter Kelly from the men's soccer team was given the Emily Ryals Sportsmanship Award. Emma Bauer received the Reynolds Cup which is given to the women's tennis player that shows outstanding sportsmanship. Alana Ballowe was chosen as the recipient of the Deacon Award for her help with Athletic Training.

Ashley Nickell from the Financial Aid Office was named the Spectator of the Year and Professors Emily Chua and Claire Hancock earned the Cushman Cup.
