2015-2016 VaSID All-Academic Team
2015: The 3-2 engineering major finished up a remarkable three-year career…played in all but one match and 95 sets in her final season…recorded 132 kills, but was more important defensively…had 59 total blocks on the year, finishing in the top-10 of the conference…killed double-digit passes in two key wins: 13 against Bridgewater and 10 at Lynchburg…hit .500 and .455 in those matches respectively with no errors…had 12 matches with three or more total blocks, including six or more on three occasions…blocked seven total attacks at Eastern Mennonite…finished second all-time in block assists with 129 (four behind record holder)…finished in sixth-place for total career blocks…will be missed along the frontline.
2014: One of only five players on the team to appear in every set and every match for the WildCats…had the fifth most kills on the team with 158…had 75 total blocks (second on the team), including 25 solo which was the top mark for the WildCats…notched a career-high 15 kills in the five-set win over Salem…had six blocks on two occasions, both of them coming against Methodist University…with the losses due to graduation, will expected to take on a larger role in the attacking game.
2013: Made an impact in the middle as a rookie...played in the first 21 matches of the year...totaled 112 kills with a .267 attack percentage...second on the team in attack percentage...career highs of 10 kills three times...second on the team with 39 blcoks...had five blocks against Ferrum...three digs twice...will be an important middle in 2014.
High School: Member of the Pirate volleyball squad...all-county conference award winner...most valuable player...first-team honorable mention for her county...Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society member.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Susan...siblings Ashley and Bryce...SUPER program participant...studying engineering and physics...minoring in math...tutor...volunteers at retirement centers...enjoys crafts.
