Coach Kate Duncan is in her second year as Goalkeeper Coach at Randolph. She came from the University of Lynchburg, where she was a goalkeeper for the Hornets. Duncan helped Lynchburg claim one Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship (2018) and competed in the NCAA Tournament two times (2018, 2021), including the 2018 DIII National Quarterfinal. She graduated from the University of Lynchburg with a degree in graphic design.
In addition to coaching at Randolph, Duncan has also served as GK coach and assistant JV and Varsity coach for Jefferson Forest High School’s girl’s team. The Cavaliers have won four district championships in her five seasons there, and have placed a goalkeeper on the first team all-district every year. She also spent two seasons at Central Virginia United as an assistant coach and GK coach.
Duncan is from Charlotte, NC, where she went to Ardrey Kell High School. At Ardrey Kell she was selected second team All-Conference and team defensive MVP as a junior, earned first team All-Conference as a senior, and participated in the NC East-West All Star Game. Duncan was part of the North Carolina Olympic Development Program, and was trained by Phillip Poole (former USWNK Goalkeeper Coach and current Head Coach of the Carolina Ascent). Additionally, she was a goalkeeper at the Charlotte Soccer Academy, the premier club in Charlotte and a top club nationally. Â Â
Currently, Duncan serves as Director of Multimedia at a company in the Lynchburg area.Â
