2016: Completed a great career with a stellar season…did everything in her final time out for the WildCats…one of only four players to start every single game of the year…played multiple positions in the midfield, as well as playing in back late in the year when injuries forced her to help out…was superb in her holding midfield role, providing a steady hand just above the back four…also helped get the ball out wide to attackers…routinely stopped attacks when needed…nearly scored several goals on free kicks, ringing the crossbar on several occasions…finishes her career as the all-time leader in games played in program history (72) and started the most games in program history with 71 starts…also played the second most minutes in history…will be missed by the staff and team for doing whatever was necessary to help the team.
2015: Provided a steady hand for the WildCats, starting all but one of her appearances while playing in every game during the year…played as a midfielder on the outside while also helping out on the back, dropping into defense to help the ’Cats backline…pushed forward to help the offense as well…scored in the wins over Hollins and Johnson & Wales (NC)…assisted on a goal against the Wasps of Emory & Henry…will continue to provide a little bit of everything for the WildCats, including leadership in her final season.
2014: Started all 17 games for the WildCats, primarily in the midfield...scored her first career goals against Gallaudet in a 7-1 win, scoring twice in the contest...added a tally in a 9-0 win over Hollins...had a key assist on the second half equalizer against Randolph-Macon.
2013: Became a vital part of the WildCats’ midfield in her first season…started all 18 games for the ‘Cats…had 17 shots this season, fifth-most on the team…tied for second-most assists on the team this season…her first career point, an assist on the third goal of the game, helped the team beat Gallaudet 6-1 and reach the fifth highest amount of goals scored in program history…made an impressive stop to prevent a shot on an open net against Roanoke…tied for game-high honors with five shots in win against Trinity.
High School: A four year letter-winner in soccer...two-year captain...two-year co-captain...first team all-district three times...second-team all-region final two years...team MVP as a senior...played club soccer in Tennessee and Virginia since 2005...parcipated in a national young leaders conference...active member of the technology student association.
Personal: Daughter of Jay and Suzanne...older sister of Alaina...last name is pronounced gem-bosh....minors in chemistry and French...enjoys the outdoors.
