2011-12: Played all 25 games in her final season as a WildCat, getting 22 starts ... finished the year hitting 31 percent from behind the arc ... nailed 31 threes on the season ... averaged 6.3 points per game ... chalked up a season-best 17 points in a season-opening loss to Meredith College ... had 12 points against both Randolph-Macon and Guilford College ... pulled in a season-best seven rebounds three times ... will represent her country this season in a good will basketball trip in Europe. 2010-11: Stepped into the limelight as a junior, becoming the go-to player for the WildCats...played in 19 games, starting 17 after missing some time with a leg injury...led the team with a 12.7 points per game average...nailed 54 threes on the season...ranked in the top 15 nationally in threes per game...scored a season-high 20 points against Emory & Henry...had 15 points and nine boards at Hollins...scored 14 points to go with nine caroms at home against EMU...scored double-digits in 14 games...drilled three or more shots from deep in 11 games. 2009-10: Lauren became a regular starter, getting the starting nod in 23 of the 24 games in 09-10…she totaled 216 points and averaged nine points per game…while averaging nearly 31 minutes per game, she made 39 three pointers, grabbed 66 rebounds, dished out 23 assists, and had 10 steals…French also led the ODAC in three point shooting percentage…through the first four games of the season, Lauren scored 13.3 points per game by scoring 53 total points…scored 12 at Emory & Henry on 12/05/09…tallied 16 points at Hollins University on 12/09/09…dropped 15 points at Virginia Wesleyan on 12/12/10…tied her season of 16 points against Bridgewater College to start the New Year on 1/03/10…and finished with 12 points against Randolph-Macon on 1/05/10…French ended the season shooting 40 percent from the floor and 86 percent from the foul line. 2008-09: Was the first year of varsity basketball for French…she played in 19 games, while scoring 46 points, had 29 rebounds, nine steals, and shot 79 percent from the foul line…scored a season-high 11 points against Hollins University on 2/10/09 by making all her foul shots and shooting 50 percent from the behind the arc…scored six points on two different occasions against Guilford, on 1/13/09, and Hollins, on 1/25/09. Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Johnny and Ellen French…majoring in psychology…attended Westover Christian Academy from 04-06 and Chatham High School from 06-08 where she earned All-Conference and Honorable Mention honors…enjoys to hang out with friends, play basketball, and shop…works as a building monitor in the Physical Education and Recreation building.
