2016-2017: (Indoor) – Had a big first year for the WildCats…competed in several events, including mid-distance races and the triple jump…improved in his time in the 400-meter race throughout the year…had his season-best of 53.27 at the Liberty Kick Off…broke the indoor triple jump school-record on two occasions…set it at the Liberty Kick Off with a mark of 40’4”…reset it the next week at the Vince Brown Invitational with a distance of 42’3.5”…earned a point at the ODAC Championships in the triple jump with a distance of 41’1.75”. (Outdoor) – Ran in several different events, including the 400 and 400 hurdles…also competed in relays and triple jump…posted a season-best of 53.29 in the 400-meter race at the W&L Carnival…had his best time in the 400-meter hurdles at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Invitational…finished eighth in a time of 58.57…part of 4x100-meter relay team that finished second at that meet and at the WildCat Invitational…took fifth in the 400 at the same meet.
Previous: Ran track and field at Kings Forks High School for three years…was a two-time state qualifier and three-time regional qualifier...holds the 300-meter hurdles record at Kings Fork...served as a captain for two years for the Bulldogs and coaches Marvin Ricks and Adrian Young.
Personal: Son of Tory Myrick Sr. and Tyra Harper…has eight siblings…ran cross country in high school and still competes for the Randolph WildCats...was all-district chorus for three years…minoring in kinesiology.
