Mark Bowman

Mark Bowman rejoined the WildCat staff in January 2021 after a year as the Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach at the University of Mount Olive where he also spent a brief time as the Interim Head Coach.
 
Prior to his time at UMO, Mark spent two years as the Men’s Goalkeeper Coach here at Randolph, where the goalkeepers averaged 1.65 Goals Against and had a 71% Save rate. During his time at Randolph, Mark also served as the Varsity head coach and the head of the Boys’ Soccer program at Appomattox County High School.
 
Mark also served as a student manager with the Men’s Soccer program at Liberty University from Spring 2013, until he graduated in May, 2015 where he transitioned to a Volunteer Assistant position for the following two years, focusing mainly on the statistics and analytics program that he established, as well as opponent scouting.
 
During the summer of 2014, Mark interned with Sporting Kansas City, where he focus on their youth soccer outreach, and event planning.
 
Mark played soccer at the University of Valley Forge from 2009-2011, where he has 166 saves, over his 23 starts. After his time at UVF, Mark spent 8 months in Guinea, West Africa where he coached their U-17 team, as well as oversaw the goalkeeper training for their Men’s team.
 
Mark holds a USSF D coaching license, as well as a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 2 Diploma.
 
Mark and his wife Rachel live in Lynchburg with their daughter Olivia.
