2017: Closed out a terrific career with a great season…played several roles throughout the year and excelled at them…worked on both midfield lines, while also helping on the defensive side of the ball…played some attack as well…started nine times on the year, while playing in every game…finished the season with 24 goals, four assists, 41 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers…posted hat tricks against St. Mary’s, Huntingdon, nationally-ranked Lynchburg, and VWC…posted two goals against Susquehanna and Bridgewater…finishes his career tied for first in games played (65), second in points (114), third in goals (84), and sixth in assists (30)…will be missed by the team and the staff.
2016: The quick and athletic player saw action in every game this year despite battling a series of injuries throughout the season…played several different roles for the WildCats, working as a midfielder and in attack…had six different games with two goals…added multiple assists in three games…had four points in the win over Piedmont…was very proficient in scoring at key times…scored with no time on the clock for the one-goal win over Methodist…also had the overtime winner against Ferrum…also helped on defense…will look to take on a larger role in his final season with the WildCats.
2015: Had a big year up front for the ’Cats…started…played in every game, starting seven of them…finished second on the team in goals with 27, which was good for 18th in the ODAC…added 13 assists, and his 40 points were good for a tie for 17th in the conference…had multiple goals in six games, including five with three or more…scored four times against Bridgewater and Shenandoah, and tallied five in the win over Methodist…had six points in the win over Shenandoah, assisting on two goals in the game…corralled 24 groundballs and caused five turnovers during the season…will be looking to increase his totals as a junior.
2014: Came in and had a big impact on the offensive end for the WildCats...appeared in all 16 games up top, and registered 12 starts…found the back of the cage 15 times during the season and helped with five others…scored his first one in the first game of the season…finished the win over Alma with four goals…ended the year with a hat trick against Guilford College…pulled in 16 groundballs and forced four turnovers during the campaign…will look to take on an even larger load as a sophomore.
Before Randolph: Shane attended Watkins Mill ... played on the lacrosse team ... earned all-county honors in his Jr. and Sr. years ... also earned all-division during his So. season.
Personal: Son of Mark and Tosha Soghomonian ... has three younger siblings... came to Randolph because of the small class sizes and the warm, welcoming environment created by the faculty.
