INDIANAPOLIS, IN- On Wednesday evening, the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee selected the individuals who will compete in the singles and doubles competition of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. Randolph's Jacob Martin (Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain Callywith College) was picked as the seventh of eight singles alternates.
Any singles player or doubles team that scratches from the tournament will be replaced in sequential order by the list of alternates below. The draw for the individual championship will be done by the men's tennis committee and released on May 22.
Martin went 15-5 overall in the 2025-26 season and posted a dual record of 12-4. He helped the WildCats advance to the ODAC Tournament semifinals for the second straight year.
In the most recent NCAA Regional Rankings, Martin was six out of eight in Region 4 and 16th in the Atlantic South in the recent ITA regional rankings. Back in the fall, he advanced to the Round of 32 at the ITA Regionals where he lost to his opponent from Stevens Tech in a super tiebreaker by two points. This spring, Martin had victories over opponents from nationally ranked the University of Rochester and Washington College. He was 1-1 against fellow alternate Dominik Suwak from Shenandoah having defeating him in November at the WildCat Invitational and falling in three sets back on April 15.
The individual championships will consist of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The selection of teams and individuals for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.
The team championship will take place May 19-22, while the individual championships will be May 23-26, both at Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee; hosted by University of the South and Chattanooga, TN.
