LYNCHBURG, Va. - Randolph dropped an ODAC match up to Shenandoah, 7-22, on Saturday afternoon at WildCat Stadium.
The Hornets opened the game with the first two goals before
Parker Eastman got the WildCats on the board with an unassisted score. Later in the first quarter,
Noah Callahan found the back of the net off an assist from
Chase Callan to make it 3-2, but Shenandoah added a late goal to take a 4-2 lead after one.
The Hornets pulled away in the second quarter with five unanswered goals before
Jacob Bucceri scored off an assist from Callahan with 1:39 left in the half to make it 9-3 at the break.
Shenandoah scored the first seven goals of the third quarter before
Jordan Nutter stopped the run with a goal off a pass from Callan. Bucceri added his second goal of the game later in the period on another assist from Callan to make it 16-5 heading into the fourth.
The WildCats opened the final quarter with a man-up goal from Callahan, assisted by Callan, before Callahan added his third goal of the day in the closing minutes for the WildCats' final score.
Callahan led Randolph with three goals and one assist, while Bucceri added two goals. Eastman and Nutter both recorded one goal apiece. Callan recorded four assists in the contest. In goal,
Keegan Slider got the start and made 18 saves, and
Jayden Rosado recorded some minutes and collected five saves.
The WildCats are back on the road to Randolph-Macon on Wednesday. Game time set for 4 p.m.
