NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- The #48 Randolph men's tennis team played its final regular season match of the season on Saturday at #27 Christopher Newport. The Captains won the match 7-0.
Despite falling behind 1-0 after the completion of doubles play, the WildCats did win one match. Jacob Martin (Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain Callywith College) and Andreas Mulner (Brasnov, Romania) teamed up to defeat the duo of Barrett Foster and Vincent Truong at first doubles 7-6.
In the singles portion of the match, Aksel Tinnes-Rimehaug (Oslo, Norway) won the first set against Foster 6-3 at third singles. Foster came back to claim the next two sets 6-2 and 1-0 in a super tiebreaker.
Randolph now prepares for the upcoming ODAC Tournament that begins on Tuesday.
