LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team hosted Meredith on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match. The WildCats defeated the Avenging Angels 7-0.

It was the WildCats' third straight 7-0 victory of the spring season. The team improves to 4-0 overall.

Randolph picked up a point as they claimed all three doubles matches. Fleur Gaalman (Abcoude, Utrecht, Netherlands Haarlemmermeer Lyceum Dalton) defeated Cat Reilly at 6-2, 6-2 at first singles. Rachel Combs (Benbrook, Texas/Homeschool) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at second singles. Sophia Cahue (Aurora, IL/Metea Valley HS), Mikayla Smith (Pittsville, Md./Parkside HS) and Maddie Mills (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) all won their respective matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Amy Rigg (Charlottesville, Va./The Covenant School) knocked off Molly Zuburg 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles.

The WildCats travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for matches next week. Randolph will face Catholic University on Monday at 12:00 p.m.
