LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team hosted William Peace on Wednesday afternoon at WildCat Stadium. The Pacers defeated the WildCats by the score of 13-4.
William Peace scored at 11:50 and 7:53 in the first half to take a 2-0 lead. Randolph got on the board at the 5:19 mark as Cooper Callan (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) scored to make it a 2-1 contest.
In the second quarter, the Pacers scored at 12:49 to put the score at 3-1. They would go on to add two more goals to lead 5-1 at halftime. William Peace outscored the WildCats 8-3 in the second half.
Total shots were 36-27 in the Pacers' favor.
Noah Callahan (Bristow, Va./Brentsville District HS) scored twice to lead the 'Cats. He also had three groundball pickups and was 5-of-8 on faceoffs. Jacob Bucceri (Spotsylvania, Va./Caroline HS) scored once as did Callan. Cole Robbins (Chesterfield, Va.) had five groundball pickups.
Keegan Slider (Saluda, Va./Christchurch School) had 10 saves between the pipes for the WildCats.
Randolph travels to Spalding University on Sunday. Game time will be at 12:00 p.m.
