ATHENS, Tenn. - The Randolph College women's lacrosse team fell on the road to Tennessee Wesleyan University, 25-2, on Wednesday afternoon.
The host Bulldogs built an early lead, scoring seven times in the opening quarter and adding eight more goals in the second to take a 15-0 advantage into halftime.
Randolph found the scoreboard in the third quarter when
Mackenzie Woodson scored unassisted in the period to make it 17-1. Later in the quarter, Woodson set up
Zoe Green, who finished the play with seven seconds left to record Randolph's second goal of the afternoon.
Tennessee Wesleyan added five goals in both the third and fourth quarters to close out the scoring.
The WildCats continue their spring break trip when they travel to Brevard College on Friday for a 2 p.m. start time.
