LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's tennis team hosted Bridgewater in an ODAC match on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats defeated the Eagles 6-1.
The WildCats won all three doubles matches to pick up a point. Of note was Andreas Mulner (Brasnov, Romania) and Jacob Martin's (Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain/Callywith College) win at first doubles over Corey Beshoar and Eli Entsminger. That victory gave Martin his 72nd career win and moved him past Brad Strober for first on the program's all-time wins list.
Mulner won at first singles over Beshoar 6-1, 6-0. Aksel Tinnes-Rimehaug (Oslo, Norway) defeated Steven Perry 6-1, 6-0 at second singles. Carlos Haupt (Weston, Fla./FLVS) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Levi Widelich at third singles. Lukas Rathgeb (Koln, Germany/Apostelgymnasium) won his fourth singles match against Logan Garner 6-0, 6-1. Tom Laflamme (Sunshine Coast, QLD Australia Sunshine Coast Grammar School) was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Enstsminger at fifth singles.
Randolph is home again next Saturday when it hosts Washington College. The match will start at 12:00 p.m.
