SWANNANOA, N.C.- On Wednesday evening, the Randolph men's volleyball team played Warren Wilson. The WildCats easily handled the Owls as they won 3-0 (25-12, 25-7, 25-19).

Randolph got off to a strong start in the first set as they led 7-0 on its way to an 11-1 lead. The 'Cats maintained a double-digit lead throughout the rest of the set as they won 25-12.

The Owls scored the first point of the second set on a kill by Lleyton Starke as they took an early 3-1 lead on the WildCats. Randolph used a 9-0 run to come back and overtake the Owls as it led 10-3. With the score at 11-5, the 'Cats rattled off eight straight points to go up 19-5 on the way to a 25-7 win.

Warren Wilson got out to a 6-4 lead in the third frame. Randolph pushed ahead 7-6 but the Owls grabbed the lead back as they went up 9-8. A 10-4 WildCat run put the visitors ahead 18-14. It was a three-point difference between the two teams at 19-16 until the 'Cats went on a 6-3 run to close out the set and win 25-19.

Ahmed Diallo (Aurora, Colo./Overland HS) led the WildCats with six kills and hit .625. He also had three service aces and two digs. Ian Arce (Sneads Ferry, N.C./Dixon HS) totaled 11 assists with Conner Maher (Buckeye, Ariz./Odyssey Institute) adding 10 assists. Samuel Looney (Fort Worth, Texas/Trinity Valley HS) led in digs with seven.

Randolph travels to Pennsylvania next Thursday for the first of four matches in the Keystone State. The WildCats will face Carlow University at 7:00 p.m.
