ROANOKE, Va. - The Randolph College women's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 51-26 decision to Hollins in ODAC action.
The WildCats struggled offensively throughout the evening, shooting 15.5 percent. Randolph was limited in scoring in the opening quarter as Hollins built an early cushion and carried a 23-10 lead into halftime.
Hollins extended its advantage in the third quarter, outscoring Randolph 18-4. The WildCats showed improvement in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 points, but were unable to overcome the deficit.
Taniya Jackson scored 10 points, adding two steals, while
Sophia Stevens pulled down a season-high of 11 rebounds.
The 'Cats return to action on Friday when the team travels to Shenandoah for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
