SALEM, Va.- The Randolph men's volleyball team went on the road to Roanoke for an ODAC match on Tuesday evening. The Maroons defeated the WildCats 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 27-25).

In the first set, Roanoke got out to a 6-3 lead before the WildCats closed to 7-6. The Maroons pulled away with a 15-4 run to go ahead 22-10. RC went on to win 25-14.

The Maroons scored the first point of the second match but Randolph scored four straight points to go ahead 4-1. Roanoke battled back to overtake the WildCats as it pulled ahead 14-9. It was 17-14 in the Maroons' favor when the home team went on an 8-1 run down the stretch to close out the frame and win 25-15.

Randolph started the third set on a 6-3 run. The two teams battled it out with the WildCats ahead 14-12 before the Maroons grabbed the lead away as it went up 15-14. The 'Cats went ahead 18-17 but RC came out on top 23-21. Randolph tied it up at 23-23 and then led 25-24 as it looked to take its first set in the match. The Maroons notched three straight kills by Michael Cummins, however, to overtake the WildCats and win 27-25 to claim the match.

Ahmed Diallo (Aurora, Colo./Overland HS) led the WildCats with 13 kills adding three block assists and five digs. Conner Maher (Buckeye, Ariz./Odyssey Institute) totaled 18 assists. Zachary Septoff (Cumberland, Md.) led in block assists with four.

Due to an impending winter storm this weekend, Randolph will not be traveling to Stevenson for a tri-match with the Mustangs and Kean University. The WildCats' next match is scheduled for next Wednesday at Warren Wilson with match time scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
