LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph College men's track and field team took the short trip over to Hill City Twilight hosted by the University of Lynchburg on Friday afternoon. The team showcased multiple personal records at the meet.
In the 100m,
Kyle Kurtz ran a personal best of 11.20 to place fifth followed by a personal best in the 200m of 22.91 for second.
Gary Hunter also raced to a sixth-place finish with a personal best of 11.39 in the 100m and finished second in his 400m college debut in 53.24.
In the field,
Xavier White competed in three throwing events. White placed third in the discus with a mark of 41.08m. He then went on to throw a 42.51m in the hammer for fourth and placed third in the shot put at 11.50m.
Xavier Calloway finished with a 6.23m mark in the long jump for fourth place and a 12.38m jump for second place in the triple jump.
Mario Carter came out on top in the triple jump in 13.91m.
Peyton Jackson was the lone WildCat in the pole vault. He soared to 3.71m for sixth place.
