CARY, N.C. - The Randolph College Women's Lacrosse team ended their 2025 season on a high note Wednesday afternoon with a commanding 8-4 win over William Peace on the road.
Mackenzie Woodson led the charge with four goals, including two in the opening quarter to set the tone early. Woodson's unassisted strikes gave Randolph the lead twice in the first, and she added two more in the second and third quarters to push the game out of reach for the Pacers.
Maddie Friel found the back of the net twice, including the final goal of the game with just under seven minutes to play in the fourth, assisted by
Jaci Moore. Friel also struck in the second quarter to give Randolph a 3-1 lead.
The WildCats showed their offensive depth as
Henley Bagby and
Jaci Moore each tallied goals. Bagby's score in the second came off a clean feed from
Hallie Darmante, while Moore's goal early in the third pushed the WildCats ahead 6-3.
Defensively, Randolph held William Peace to just one goal per quarter. Despite a pair of scores from the Pacers, the WildCats' defense stood strong—limiting second-chance opportunities and keeping the Pacers out of rhythm.
Randolph took a 5-2 lead into halftime and never let go of the momentum, outscoring William Peace 3-2 in the second half.
Mireya Norville was in the net for the WildCats and made five saves on the day.
The 'Cats end their season 2-13 overall and 1-9 in the ODAC.
