Women's T&F Deliver Big at Home in WildCat Invitational

Competing on home turf, the Randolph College Women's Track & Field team put on a show at the WildCat Invitational, turning in an impressive day filled with personal bests, podium finishes, and strong all-around performances in front of the home crowd.

In the sprints, Tatianna Langston and Jaidyn Turner led the way in the 100m dash, finishing fourth (12.78) and fifth (12.83), respectively. Jennifer Moore (13.41) and Imani Hardin (14.04) also posted strong efforts in their heats. In the 200m, Jessica Taylor clocked a personal best of 26.06 to finish fifth, with Turner right behind in sixth (26.27). Hardin also returned to compete in a time of 30.06.

Taylor continued her dominant day with a third-place finish and PR in the 400m, running 58.15 for a school record. In the hurdles, Moore finished second in the 400m hurdles (1:09.42), while Shaniya Owens recorded two personal bests—18.62 in the 100m hurdles and 1:18.00 in the 400m hurdles.

The distance group showed steady progress as Ryleigh Frayser ran a PR and school record in the 800m (2:29.51), and Jenna Sass followed up with a PR and school record of her own in the 1500m (5:09.72).

A highlight of the day was the 4x100m relay, in which Moore, Turner, Taylor, and Langston placed second overall with a season-best time of 48.83.

Kiersten Alling led the charge in the throws with a third-place finish in discus (36.83m) and a second-place finish in hammer (44.40m). Vivianna Gustin had a standout day as well, setting a personal record in the shot put (11.16m) to place second, while Alling followed closely in third (11.14m – season best). Nevaeh Foreman also hit a PR in the hammer (33.89m), rounding out a solid showing from the throws group.

In the jumps, Kendra Smith earned 6th in the long jump (5.03m) and 5th in the triple jump (10.84m).

The WildCats also honored five seniors: Neveah Foreman, Vivianna Gustin, Jenna Sass, Kendra Smith, and Jaidyn Turner.

The 'Cats are back on the track for the 2025 Outdoor ODAC Championship meet hosted by Eastern Mennonite on April 25-26.
