FERRUM, Va. – The Randolph College women's lacrosse team faced off against Ferrum College on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-21 in conference action on the road.
Mackenzie Woodson provided the lone spark for the WildCats (1-13, 1-9 ODAC), scoring an unassisted goal with 7:28 remaining in the second quarter and coming on one of her five total shot attempts.
Despite the scoreline, the WildCats showed fight throughout the contest.
Mireya Norville anchored the defense with seven ground balls and added a caused turnover. She also had a ll saves in the net. Woodson also contributed across the field, securing six draw controls and picking up three ground balls.
Maddie Friel and
Henley Bagby each registered shots on goal, with Friel also scooping up a ground ball and causing a turnover.
Emille Taduran had one shot attempt, and
Zoe Green contributed two shots.
