EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Randolph College STUNT team hit the mat this weekend at the ESU Tournament, collecting a total of 13 points over six matchups against tough competition.
DAY ONE
vs. Saint Elizabeth University
The WildCats opened the invitational with a two-point performance. Their first point came early in Quarter 1 during Round 1 of Partner Stunts. They later added another in Quarter 4, Round 2, earning it once again in Partner Stunts. Unfortunately, Randolph fell 2-7 against Saint Elizabeth.
vs. Gallaudet University
Randolph showed more offensive spark in their third matchup of the day, scoring four points. The WildCats started strong again with a Partner Stunts point in Quarter 1, Round 1. They then picked up two more in Quarter 4, Round 1, with clean routines in Partner Stunts and Jumps and Tumbling. The final point came in Quarter 4, Round 2, thanks to another solid Jumps and Tumbling performance. The 'Cats claimed their first program victory, 4-2.
DAY TWO
vs. Gallaudet University
Randolph kept the momentum rolling into Sunday, posting their highest score of the weekend with five points. After opening with a Partner Stunts point in Quarter 1, they added a Pyramids & Tosses point in Round 1. In Quarter 4, they caught fire, scoring in both Jumps & Tumbling and Pyramids & Tosses during Round 1, followed by another Jumps & Tumbling point in Round 2, to win 5-3.
vs. East Stroudsburg University
In their final game, the WildCats scored two points, both coming in Quarter 2 during Rounds 1 and 2 of Pyramids & Tosses, but fell to ESU 2-10.
The 'Cats wrap up their first inaugural season and will begin to prepare for next year.
