LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph men's track and field team showcased strong performances at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational, securing multiple personal and season-best marks and three school records.
Jordan Edwards delivered an outstanding performance in the 100m, running a personal-best 10.78 to finish 10th in the prelims. Faithful Fulcher followed with an 11.28.
The 200m saw Edwards shine again, finishing fifth with a personal-best and school record of 21.64.
Eric West was close behind in sixth, also setting a personal-best at 21.68.
Colby Lambert (22.29, season-best),
Christian Humes (22.78, personal-best),
Kendric Love (22.80), and
Landon Petcher (23.63, personal-best) all contributed to a strong showing in the event.
West took home first place in the 400m with a season-best time of 48.77 not far off his school record. Love set a personal-best 49.22 for fourth, with Humes (50.33) and Lambert (50.43) securing top-10 finishes. Petcher also set a personal best in the event with 53.77.
Ben Hiss ran 2:12.00 in the 800m, while
Tyler Brubaker set a personal best in the 1500m, finishing in 4:26.34.
Mason Williams placed ninth in the 5000m with a time of 18:23.27, and
Tanner Cochran impressed in the 10,000m, taking fourth in 33:24.25.
Xavier White excelled in the throwing events, placing fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.23m (148-04) for a school record and finishing 11th in the discus at 34.33m (112-07). He also secured ninth place in the shot put with an 11.62m (38-01.50) throw.
Jayden Watkins delivered a standout performance in the pole vault, clearing a personal-best and school record 4.35m (14-03.25) for fourth place.
Peyton Jackson cleared 3.75m (12-03.50) to place 10th.
Randolph's 4x400m relay team of Lambert, Love, Humes, West captured first place with a stellar time of 3:19.79.
The 'Cats are back on the track at High Point University on Friday and Saturday.
