BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph men's tennis team traveled to Bridgewater to face the Eagles in ODAC action on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats topped BC 7-0.
Randolph improves its overall record to 6-3 and is now 3-2 in the ODAC.
All three doubles teams won their matches. Jacob Martin (Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain Callywith College) and Andreas Mulner (Brasnov, Romania) paired up to defeat Mathew Leonard and Corey Beshoar 6-3 at first doubles. Carlos Haupt (Weston, Fla./FLVS) and Jason Duval (Kingston, Jamaica) won at second doubles over Mark Gordon and Eli Morela 6-4. Vincenzo Marchese and Lukas Rathgeb (Koln, Germany/Apostelgymnasium were 6-1 winners against Coree Nicely and Steven Perry at third doubles.
Mulner defeated Leonard at first singles 6-3, 6-3. Martin was a 6-1, 7-5 winner over Beshoar at second singles. Marchese handled Gordon 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. Duval defeated Perry 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles with Haupt winning by the same score at sixth singles. Rathgeb defeated Morela 6-3, 6-1 at fifth singles.
Randolph will host Methodist on April 6 at 9:00 am.
