SALEM Va. - The Randolph men's track and field team wrapped up the indoor season at the 2025 ODAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. The team finished sixth out of nine teams.
The 4x400 relay squad of
Colby Lambert,
Kendric Love,
Christian Humes, and
Eric West set a new meet record and school record with a time of 3:21.79 to be crowned ODAC Champions.
West also got to the podium in the 400m and 200m. He ran a time of 49.92 to place second in the 400m and 22.20 in the 200m for third place. Alongside him in the 400m, was Lambert in third place with a personal best of 50.08. Lambert also scored points in the 200m in a time of 22.50 for seventh place. Love ran a personal best of 50.76 to add one point to the WildCats total with an eighth-place finish and Humes clocked a 52.03 for 14th.
In the 60m dash finals,
Jordan Edwards finished sixth with a personal best of 7.00 seconds to score three points.
Mario Carter also finished sixth in the 60m hurdles improving his personal best to 8.78.
Tanner Cochran ran 9:08.44 for 16th place in 3000m.
Peyton Jackson added three points to the team's score with a sixth-place finish in the pole vault, vaulting to 3.86 meters to match his personal best.
For the shot put,
Jayden Watkins three 11.95 meters for 14th and
Xavier White three 11.78 for 16th.
In the triple jump,
Xavier Calloway jumped a personal best of 12.76 meters to finish in 10th. Teammate Carter followed in 12.48 meters for 14th place.
The 'Cats will be back on the track for the outdoor season at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on March 20-22.
