HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Randolph men's tennis team faced Mount Union College in Hilton Head. The match started on Tuesday night and wrapped up on Wednesday morning. The WildCats defeated the Purple Raiders 7-0.

The WildCats improve to 4-0 which is the team's best start since the 2015-16 season.

The 'Cats led 1-0 after doubles play. Both first and second doubles were 6-2 wins. The third doubles team of Carlos Haupt (Weston, Fla./FLVS) and Jason Duval (Kingston, Jamaica) won 6-0 over the duo of Noah Fink and Luke Deland.

The singles portion was determined by pro sets. Vincenzo Marchese won at first singles against Elliot Warner 8-3. Ondra Pelda (Prague, Czech Republic) defeated Andrew Cavett 8-5 at second singles. Lukas Rathgeb (Koln, Germany/Apostelgymnasium) was an 8-4 winner over Nick Sziraky at third singles.  Duval was an 8-5 winner at fourth singles. Dev Mani (Bangalore, India St. Claret PU College) was an 8-1 winner at fifth singles against Luke Deland. Nico Rosel (Guterlsoh, Germany) saw his first action of the spring as he defeated Fink 8-0 at sixth singles.
