Women's Swimming Set Personal Bests on Day Two

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The WildCats returned for day two of the ODAC Championships and set some personal bests.

In the 500 Free, Katelyn Spuchesi finished 17th, swimming a 5:34.79 for a personal best to just miss qualifying for finals. She was followed by Kaitlyn Heckman who finished in 5:58.39 in 23rd, Katie Scifres in 6:03.84, a new personal best, in 24th place, Maddie Dyl in 25th in 6:17.96 and Katya Zaitsev in 6:18.41 for 26th place.

For the 50 Free, Taylor Eshelman swam a time of 26.42 to place 31st. Morgan Flamm was not too far behind in 27.42 for 35th. Rounding out the field was Kai Miller in 28.92, a personal best, in 38th and Reaghan Quinn in 30.31 (41st).

Eshelman, Flamm, Heckman, and Spuchesi teamed up for the 200 Free Relay and went 1:45.79 to finish in 7th place, and the 400 Medley Relay with Heckman, Eshelman, Spuchesi, and Flamm in 4:21.28 for seventh. 

The 'Cats return for Day Three of the ODAC Championships, tomorrow, Feb, 14 in Greensboro. Prelims are at 10 a.m. and finals kick off at 6 p.m.
