SALEM, Va. - Women's track and field traveled to Roanoke College for the Bast-Cregger Invitational. It was a two-day meet with competition from across all divisions. The team saw multiple personal best performances.
Friday,
Shaniya Owens ran a personal best of 11.28 in the 60-hurdles prelims and on Saturday she competed in the 200-meter dash for a personal best of 30.37.
On the second day, the WildCats saw
Jessica Taylor run a 1:01.91 in the 400-meter dash to finish 5th overall. Taylor also led the WildCats in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.50 to finish 14th. Behind her, was
Tatianna Langston in 24th place in 27.44.
Jaidyn Turner runs a season-best of 27.71.
In the shot put,
Kiersten Alling threw a distance of 10.13 meters (33' 03) to finish 21st overall.
The 'Cats are back on the track next week, Feb 7, at the Liberty Open hosted by Liberty University.
