Men's Soccer ODAC Quarterfinal Preview

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's soccer team has qualified for the ODAC Tournament for the first time since 2021. The sixth seed WildCats will travel to third seed Hampden-Sydney on Saturday. Game time is at 2:00 p.m.

How They Got Here: Randolph finished the regular season with a record of 5-9-4 and were 3-5-1 in ODAC play. The WildCats went 2-1-1 in the final four games to secure a playoff spot. The Tigers went 12-2-2 overall and 6-1-2 in the conference. They are winners of four of their last five contests.

Last Meeting: The two teams last met on September 20 in Hampden-Sydney in a designated non-conference game. Randolph got on the board in the first half but the Tigers scored twice in the second half to win 2-1.

The WildCats: First-Year Marcus Cortes leads the team in goals with six. Bryan Leiva-Membreno has assisted on four scores. Dominic Cortes has started all 18 games in goal. He has 82 saves, which ranks in the ODAC, and a 71.3% save percentage.

The Tigers: Walker Stebbings and Mason Dudley both have five goals to lead Hampden-Sydney. Tyler Pez has eight assists which leads the ODAC. Stig Larson had started 16 games in the net. His seven shutouts are tied for first in the conference with three other goalkeepers. Larson has a 75% save percentage.

ODAC Tournament History: Randolph is 12-13 in the ODAC Tournament. The teams have met once in the playoffs back in 2019. The Tigers won 2-0.
