LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Randolph College women's soccer team closed out its 2025 season on Wednesday evening, falling 0-2 to visiting Virginia Wesleyan in ODAC play at WildCat Stadium.
The Marlins took an early lead in the 15th minute and found the back of the net. Randolph battled throughout the half, matching Virginia Wesleyan with three shots, all on target, but was unable to capitalize.
The Marlins extended their lead midway through the second half in the 72nd minute 
Despite the result, the WildCats' defense held strong against a Marlin attack that generated nine corner kicks and ten total shots with WildCat goalkeeper 
Rachel Fields making three saves. Randolph registered four shots on goal, forcing the Virginia Wesleyan goalkeeper to make four saves.
The match concluded a competitive season for the WildCats, who finished 6-9-1, 3-7 ODAC on the season.
