LYNCHBURG, Va. - Men's Soccer dropped a match to McDaniel College, losing 0-1 in a tightly-contested battle. This is the first meeting between the two teams.
The lone goal of the match came in the second half from McDaniel's Luke Hammer found the back of the net off a corner kick from Noah Rodriguez.
Both teams battled throughout the match, with the WildCats having opportunities to score but were unable to capitalize. Randolph recorded 10 shots, 4 shots were on frame, but nothing was getting past McDaniel's defensive wall. Meanwhile, McDaniel managed 9 shots, with 5 shots on goal. Despite a strong effort, the WildCats were unable to find an equalizer.
Randolph is on the road to Southern Virginia University on Wednesday, Sept. 18 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
